Wasn’t going to order these but was buying other footwear so put them in my basket too. So pleased I did, as they are great, easy to slip on and also so lightweight to wear. For the price you can’t go wrong.
Bought these last week, bought a pair recently from Amazon the Sainsbury ones are far superior I could wear them all day and still as comfy as when first put on.
Thanks for your query about the Black Knitted Slip On Trainers 8.
As a shoe width is based also on the height of the shoe as well, we do not have a standard, single width measurement. We have an instep girth and a joint girth and these are the circumference measurements for those parts of the shoe. Joint girth is the measurement round the ball of the foot, just behind the toes. (This is the widest part of a foot horizontally but not the thickest part in all cases). The instep girth is the measurement round the instep area of the foot.
For this, the size 8, these measurements are as follows:
Joint girth: 242mm
Instep girth: 254mm
The sole is wider than the shoe itself so, though it could perhaps be used as a rough guide, it would not be directly related to the functioning width of the part of the shoe the foot goes in, the upper. The tread width is 77mm.
